My bagpipes are made from blackwood and American cherry. My father harvested and milled the cherry from my birthplace, my parents' farm in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The mounts that Douglas chose to turn from the cherry are swept back old style. The ferrules are brass, which I felt would match the warmth of the look and sound of the pipes. The pipes are plain turned and adorned with a cherry chalice top.
